…unless I did a rain dance, it wouldn’t rain

Doesn’t mother nature know that we have too much to get done (according to our list this week) for it to rain? !!!  Although my sod (which is starting to attach!) is grateful, this just isn’t on my plan!!

We had to tarp around the mailbox…since we are talking about a 5×5 foot section of earth that we have dug down 3 inches…which we would have had done had it not been for a GINORMOUS tree root that we had to hack into…nothing can be as easy as it seems! So although it is tarped, i am sure that it is going to still turn into a giant mud pit…ZOOSE WILL BE HAPPY ATLEAST!!  And since our fence is now gone, we can’t even keep him in the back yard during all of this…oh yes…bittersweet!

I have more weeds to pull…this lovely gift from above will do nothing more than encourage the little suckers to grow!

And doesn’t it know that it isn’t supposed to rain today because we didnt’ lay down the next stage of weed and feed…only half of the yard was blessed enough to receive since HUSBAND didn’t have enough the first time around…this morning we noticed “hey, that stuff must really work…look at the grass…it is two toned!” Yeah, we have a nice green BORDER around our property…

But none the less…even if the rain would hold off until end of the week when our list was completed, I am sure that it would be raining on the weekend…just in time for us to actually be able to enjoy the yard and all of our accomplishments…Not to mention the garage sale that I was planning to have would have been rained out.

Pessimist? No, not me…I am going to blame this on the crappy weather outside!
